Welcome to the Kōseki Soap store! A shop that offers artisanal cold saponified soaps and bathroom accessories made in France and of Japanese inspiration.
Kōseki soaps are made from vegetable oil, without animal fat, palm oil or mineral oil, colored with natural products (clays, dried plants, activated carbon, etc.) and scented, or not, with essential oils or fragrances without allergens.
Through this brand, we also want to highlight Made in France. Soaps of course, but also with the sale of accessories (soap dish, travel pouch) all made by French craftsmen. And yes ! who says soaps made in France also says accessories made in France ;).
We use the traditional method of cold saponification. Once unmolded and cut, the soaps will go through a cure of 4-6 weeks before they can be sold (and yes it requires a lot of patience and organization).
Artisanal soap has two “hydration” advantages that industrial soaps lack: the high glycerin content and overgreasing.
Finally, using solid soaps also contributes to zero waste: no more shower gels in plastic bottles. Moreover, our products are presented and sent in simple, plastic-free packaging.
The name Kōseki is made up of 2 kanji characters. "Ko" (香) represents the image of "Kosui" which means "aromatic water", ie "perfume". "Seki" (石) represents the image of "Hoseki" which means "precious stone", ie "jewelry". "Kōseki" is thus created by the combination of these two terms and which means "The Perfumed Stone".
