Welcome to the Kōseki Savon store! A boutique offering cold-processed artisanal soaps and bathroom accessories made in France and inspired by Japan.
Kōseki soaps are made from vegetable oil, without animal fat, palm oil or mineral oil, colored with natural products (clays, dried plants, activated carbon, etc.) and scented, or not, with essential oils or fragrances without allergens.
HASThrough this brand, we also want to highlight Made in France. Soaps of course, but also with the sale of accessories (soap dishes, travel pouches) all made by French artisans. And yes ! who says soaps made in France also says accessories made in France ;).
We use the traditional method of cold saponification. Once unmolded and cut, the soaps will undergo a 4-6 week cure before they can be sold (and yes, this requires a lot of patience and organization).
Handmade soap has two “hydration” advantages that industrial soaps lack: high glycerin content and superfatting.
Finally, using solid soaps also contributes to zero waste: no more shower gels in plastic bottles. Moreover, our products are presented and sent in simple packaging, without plastic.
The name Kōseki is composed of 2 kanji characters. ""Ko" (香) represents the image of "Kosui" which means "aromatic water", that is to say "perfume". "Seki" (石) represents the image of "Hoseki" which means "precious stone", that is to say "jewels". ""Kōseki" is thus created by the combination of these two terms and which means "The Perfumed Stone".
