 This cake is a triumph of delicate aromas and flavours: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, with its unmistakable fruity and intense flavour, and cinnamon blend perfectly in a soft dessert, ideal for finishing an important lunch or dinner.   Accompany it with pears cooked in Montepulciano and or vanilla Chantilly cream.

 You can prepare it in a cake mold or even in a plum cake mold and serve it with a scoop of cream or vanilla ice cream.
