La cabin bleue is a publishing house of documentary books and illustrated albums which invite children to love nature and its inhabitants, as well as to take care of our beautiful blue planet.

The Blue Cabin represents strong values and a real desire to move the lines, to make books “differently”, in a global approach to sustainable development, which respects both man and our Earth.

The Blue Cabin highlights artists with atypical, modern and strong worlds.

LABELED COMPANY
The blue cabin received the Remarkable Initiative Label in 2023.
Awarded by the Initiative France network, this distinction recognizes our positive impact on the territorial, environmental, social and societal levels.
We are delighted to join the community of entrepreneurs who invent tomorrow!

Obtained in 2022, the Ruptur Label guarantees the environmental and inclusive dimension of our economic model, as well as our commitment to continuous improvement on these subjects!

OUR ENGAGEMENTS

[Made in France]
• Our books are printed and produced less than 500 kilometers from their storage location.
•Our printer, labeled Imprim’Vert, works to reduce its ecological impact (responsible treatment of waste, vegetable ink, supply using reusable drums, optimization of transport), etc.
•The interior paper comes from Europe and is PEFC or FSC certified, programs that guarantee sustainable forest management.
•The cover is covered with a particularly robust paper, which eliminates the need for plastic lamination.

[Ethics]
• La cabin bleue is an independent publishing house, with a collaborative operation.
•We work with companies on a human scale,
who share the same values as us, and guarantee fair remuneration to all stakeholders.
•We defend local commerce and independent bookstores.
•We publish a limited number of new products each year, in order to take the time to design them and then support them over time.
•We, of course, produce our books with care and attach particular importance to verifying information.

[Eco-designed]
• In order to reduce the loss of energy and raw materials, our books are printed in batches of several titles, and their format is optimized to fit perfectly into a printing sheet.
•We print in small quantities, to avoid overstocking and destruction of unsold items.
•Within interprofessional associations, we are exploring new avenues to reinvent a more ecological book chain.
•We publish sustainable books, both in their form and in their content: we refrain from projects with a purely commercial aim and favor the originality of a subject or its treatment.
•Finally, we avoid using ephemeral commercial documents and advertising.
