Mostaccioli are crunchy biscuits typical of Calabria. Their consistency is hard and compact, and, usually, they are given various shapes that recall the features of animals. These biscuits are part of a very ancient Calabrian culinary tradition (the origin is uncertain, perhaps Arab), but still today characterize the local village festivals.
