Grandma Thérèse, a legacy of gluttony. End of the 19th century, in a pretty little village in Lorraine, on the edge of the Vosges, Auguste-François and Marie-Eugénie Cadix, professional bakers and pastry chefs, delighted the taste buds of their customers thanks to
delicious madeleines, renowned well beyond the canton. Subsequently, in the 1930s, their daughter-in-law Thérèse, a cook
accomplished, allowed a few privileged people to benefit from the precious recipe, including, a little later, the very young Jacques Mercier,
his grand-son.
Still intoxicated by the scent of hot and delicious madeleines, freshly baked by Mamy Thérèse, her grandson now wishes to share with as many people as possible this promise of a real treat that makes him salivate again and again.
