A family story: from Louis to Grégoire
Among the Delamares, there is a pond, a donkey, a pony, a press and pretty buildings. But there are mainly orchards with lots of apple trees. A beautiful ecosystem in the heart of this enclosed hovel where two herons, dozens of
dragonflies and other pippins.
The Delamares are a story of 5 generations which began in 1909 with Louis and Marie and will continue in 2020 with Grégoire and Valérie.
2020, the year when Grégoire, a young agricultural engineer with a background in oenology and after several trips to Asia and Africa, took over the family farm managed by his parents Jean-Michel and Brigitte, then in mixed farming and livestock farming.
Grégoire has a strong idea, a project that is already well matured: to create a quality cider house, offering a new and qualitative approach to working with apples.
All the conditions are met in this land loved by cider apples. The desire and the ideas are there. Grégoire can count on the support of his family and friends.
Then in 2021, 4 hectares are in turn planted. The entire
production is in organic farming conversion, from the year of planting.
2022, the project takes shape and is the birth of La Mare aux Pommes, a Norman cider house in the heart of one of the most beautiful apple regions: the Pays de Caux.
With its 14 different varieties of cider apples, the cider house can offer a whole range of ciders, infused juices and apple essences with balanced, fruity, gourmet and refreshing flavors.
As of January 2020, 4.000 cider apple trees are planted in families.
Since 2023, all stages of production have been carried out at the cider house.
