OUR HISTORY
LaSedia s.r.l continues the tradition of one of the first factories to arise in Manzano, founded in 1936 by Luigi Bolzicco and is still managed by the same family. The current production and operational headquarters was created from the old paddle mill from the early 1900s. The building, enlarged, renovated and rationalized for the production of furniture items, has maintained its original appearance and ancient characteristics. The first items produced were coat hangers, exported in large quantities to the United States in the 1960s. Then it was the turn of deck chairs, still in production today, which were used to furnish prestigious cruise ships. Later, starting from the study of a "basic" folding seat, our catalog took shape, enriched and renewed periodically with new and increasingly cutting-edge articles. From the love for woodworking at the beginning of the last century, we have learned to carefully treat different types of materials and today our products are able to satisfy the needs of customers all over the world.
The same passion with which half a century ago he handled it by hand, he now puts into the care of the product, in the search for innovative solutions and consumer satisfaction. The product is followed carefully, from the rigorous choice of raw materials to constant checks at every stage of processing, from tests to satisfy the quality and safety guarantees in force today, to eco-compatible paints for a lower environmental impact.
