"Le Kachalù" ORGANIC 250gr grains

In 1999, 14 coffee producers began to collaborate by founding a cooperation to produce sustainable and environmentally friendly coffee. Their goal: to maintain animal habitat and prevent contamination of local water supplies. Their cooperation was called "Kachalù", a word they themselves interpreted as "Hope". Their hope was and still is today that their Kachalù will continue to be demanded, even in a global coffee crisis. Origin and plantation The Kachalù plantations are located in the middle of the South American rainforest, in the heart of Colombia, and benefit from the humid and hot climate all year round. Compared to Brazil, Colombia has the special advantage that you don't need to worry about cold spells, which could destroy an entire crop. Character and taste Considered this coffee to be from South America, it has a surprisingly strong, almost spicy-earthy character. The intensive sweetness of the complex aromas of chocolate caramel is complemented by a sweet hint of fruit.
