LAFRANCAISE Mailles in France is a French knitwear brand made exclusively in France, most of the collection is made in its De Villers-Bocage workshop.
Anxious to support trades that have become rare (re-knitting, mending, hosiery, knitting, etc.), she has been perpetuating these skills for over 100 years thanks to her Norman workshop. In 2023, it reinvents 100% made in France manufacturing with a new creation of knitwear that asserts a cool, feminine and chic style. The knitwear plays the big game and asserts a nonchalant and joyful elegance. The timeless pieces of the women's wardrobe are combined with strong pieces where volumes, colors and details embrace the spirit of the times. The yarns and raw materials selected from the best European spinners offer a knit with absolute comfort and natural sensuality.
The brand is also committed to a sustainability approach by favoring natural and sustainable materials, and by promoting environmentally friendly production. It produces only 2 collections per year and manufactures its pieces in limited quantities in order to produce as leanly as possible and avoid unsold stocks. It ensures a second life for clothes in a circular economy logic and offers lifelong repairability of its knits, made possible thanks to the conservation of our threads in our workshop and the talents of our menders and stitchers.
