Founded in 2018, our distillery is above all a family adventure that originated in the middle of the last century, in the 1950s, in Broquiès, a small wine-growing town located in Aveyron.
At that time, Justin Thiers acquired his first traveling still to distil grape marc and fruit in the village and neighboring towns. His son Raoul kept the business going for several decades with a second still, before the activity stopped in the early 2000s.
But a few years later, Mathieu, Justin's grandson, a trained cook with a growing passion for French Whisky, had the click to the point of embarking on the adventure.
Surrounded by 5 cousins, they will together take up the challenge of creating the Landa's distillery, with the aim of offering high quality spirits and perpetuating the family tradition of distillation.
