On the one hand, Sylt - which has historically been handed down as Sild - offers us a unique storage location for our genuine Sylt SILD single malt whiskeys with its beautiful coastal landscape, rough sea, miles of sandy beaches and mighty cliff edges. After the success of the pioneering project SILD "CRANNOG", probably the only single malt whiskey in the world that is stored in a ship at sea, the second Sylt single malt whiskey "JÖL EN REEK" was created. A single malt whisky, which is stored on the island of Sylt in a former bunker and is the only whiskey with Sylt peat and malted barley to feel the harsh island climate. With its beautiful coastal landscape, the rough sea, the miles of sandy beaches and the mighty cliff edges, Sylt offers a unique storage location for our SILD single malt whiskey "Jöl en Reek". His attachment to his homeland is reflected not only in his name "Jöl en Reek", which means "fire and smoke" in Sölring - one of the ten main North Frisian dialects - but also in his regional ingredients, such as e.g. B. the Sylt peat. Sensory: Strong, pleasant peat and smoky notes on the nose, framed by hints of caramel, as well as roasted almonds and oak, develop a characterful aroma of smoky sweetness and flamed wood on the palate, surrounded by a finely spicy and salty bouquet. The aftertaste of this single malt whiskey is long and balanced with pepper, nutmeg, heather and peat.
