The gemstones are carefully cut into shape and electroplated with a thick layer (1 micron) of 18 carat gold and an e-coating to impede tarnishing. A thin sterling silver layer is used to bond the gold to the gemstone surface. The chain comprises 18 carat gold plating (1 micron) on 925 sterling silver (recycled gold and silver). Dimensions: Smooth tumbled gemstone charms: 6mm - 8mm, rough tumbled gemstone charms: 5mm - 7mm and between an 18”/45cm 1mm cable chain.
