It appears as a dense, penetrating, easily absorbed oil. It is characterised by its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids (ac. oleic more than 50%), with a composition similar to olive oil. It is also rich in carotenoids, vitamin E, phytosterols.​ More information: Avocado oil can be used in both food and cosmetics. Its dietary use seems to contribute to normal weight, to the reduction of diabetes risk and to the correct functioning of liver metabolism.
