The French beret is therefore... 
French ! (unlike the espadrille) At Le Chapoté, we have put two types of headgear: the flat cap or newsboy cap & the traditional beret, i.e. without visor. The younger generation tends to call the famous cap Peaky Blinders a beret, so there can be confusion.    For our part, the beret is therefore a completely new model in our collection and you seem to like it! 
It must be said that it is one of the very trendy fashion accessories for winter 20/21. 
In corduroy or wool flannel, our beret respects the shapes of this timeless headgear and the selected materials are soft, warm & elegant, so perfect for this winter! We also note that the women's beret returns to the front of the scene. 
Among men, we see Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp or Omar Sy in a beret. 
But women are not left out, notably Salma Hayek, Beyoncé or Anne Hathaway as super ambassadors of the beret women! The major luxury houses regularly rely on beret during winter fashion weeks to add charm extra to an outfit and perhaps make it more “boyish” a model thanks to this updated headgear. The beret therefore crosses time, generations and fashions.   Men's beret or women's beret, young or old, you will have necessarily a separate style topped with a beret! 
Everyone does not have the taste (or the character) to wear a beret, whether either the traditional round beret or the peaky blinders cap / flat cap. 
Why rely on atypicality this winter if special ?!;-)
