LE JARDIN E(S)T LA RECETTE is a social and circular initiative (ESUS certified) whose mission is to create a supply chain for crops and "weeds" in the garden.
By allowing individuals to enhance their harvests, and by (re)putting wild plants on our plates, we want to:
- encourage the return to the land
- reconcile us with the "weeds" which are simply incredible for our food and to regenerate biodiversity,
- offer products that fully meet our modern needs: ultra local, healthy, plastic-free, which keep well, super practical to use on a daily basis, and downright delicious!
We therefore create amazing spicy and aromatic blends from fruits, flowers, herbs and wild plants from the garden. Our dry pestos, garden broths, wild gomasios, French zaatars and other flowery sugars play on contrasts and combinations of flavors, while being very easy to use. They will surprise the curious, the demanding, the dummies in the kitchen, those in a hurry, the budding chefs, but also all those who pay attention to the impact of their plates!
We work in a traditional way in our workshop in the Paris region thanks to the 350 member gardeners from all over France who entrust us with their harvests. They glean and harvest from their garden with passion, following rigorous specifications. We support them at every stage and control practices and quality. Through this activity they receive additional income, find meaning, and some thus concretize a project of reconversion towards an agricultural profession.
We particularly like to work with wild plants (those we too often call "weeds": nettles, ground ivy, dead nettle, etc.) because they are rich in nutrients, grow locally without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, are resistant to diseases and climatic hazards. , help regenerate soil and biodiversity, and are absolutely delicious. In short, they are perfect!
