Chestnut honey

Harvested in July, this honey is produced on the banks of the Vilaine where the chestnut tree is abundant. Its taste is robust and powerful with a touch of bitterness. It is a honey that remains liquid for quite a long time. It is known to promote blood circulation. The chestnut tree is a large, sometimes majestic tree. Flowering is abundant in July and its flowers provide generous pollen and nectar. An ideal temperature promotes nectar production. On the contrary, if the temperature is too high (above 26°C) the kittens will burn and the bees can no longer collect the precious nectar.
