The story of the small business “Les Bougies d’Alexandra” begins during the covid 19 crisis. We all know that the pandemic has made us more inventive and ingenious. To occupy our time and in particular find activities with my children, creating candles was an emergency exit.
I am a young mother who works full-time in the social field and more precisely in asylum. Concerning myself, I am not a beekeeper and I do not have family who work in this field. I discovered beeswax during covid and I am very proud of it.
My first candles were the rolled ones, the easiest to make and in terms of materials, it was what we had at our disposal, since orders placed during the pandemic took time to arrive. Rolled candles are mainly used in weddings, baptisms and communions, but some customers have also requested boxes of rolled candles.
Subsequently, we began to make patterned candles: candles for the religious festivals of Christmas, Easter, etc.
We are a small company specializing in the manufacture of pure beeswax candles for baptisms, weddings, candles for the home, candles as gifts.
What is beeswax? It is the product secreted by bees and used to make the famous honey cakes, whose honeycomb construction is renowned for its solidity and aesthetic appeal. It is a 100% natural, organic and economical product, which does not pollute the atmosphere, with a beneficial effect on health. The beeswax candle ionizes the air, neutralizes unpleasant odors and relaxes you after a long day of work.
It is also a key element for meditation to immerse yourself in your body and listen to it. With its sweet smell of honey, you will take an imaginary journey into nature and visit the flowers where the bee has gathered the nectar.
You should know that the beeswax candle is unique and magical, its material cannot be compared to any other material, it is considered the gold of all time. It is no coincidence that in Orthodox churches they are used for different religious ceremonies.
