The history of Ardèche ice cream begins with Michel Morand and the Carrier dairy in the 1980s. Originally, a desire to promote milk from the Ardèche plateau and local gastronomic riches in a series of sorbets and ice creams.
By taking over the house in 2017, Pierre Chauvet instilled his know-how as an artisan ice cream maker, chocolate maker and pastry chef recognized in Drôme and Ardèche. In his baggage, the same confidence in local craftsmen and the desire to share taste, authenticity and generosity.
Our products are made in our workshops in Ucel in Ardèche, from milk and cream from the Ardèche plateau, for our sorbets we make our purées from fruit picked when ripe, and favor local products as much as possible, as for honey and chestnut cream for example.
For flavors "from elsewhere", such as vanilla, coconut or even passion, we rigorously select the best varieties from all over the world, while guaranteeing fair remuneration for producers.
