LES JAMELLES-MALBEC

Main grape variety of the Cahors appellation, Malbec is present in Bordeaux. It is also planted in Argentina and it is experiencing a real worldwide craze. It is precocious and gives a very fruity, fragrant, colorful wine, rich in tannins and suitable for ageing. This rather capricious variety requires optimum maturity and expresses its full potential on poor soils. With its ruby color with red reflections, Malbec Les Jamelles is a powerful wine, with a spicy and liquorice nose and notes of red and black fruits. The palate is supple yet well structured, with aromas of fruit, lingering spicy notes and fine tannins that provide elegant length. Served at 16°C, this wine is ideal with Mediterranean cuisine (ratatouille), couscous, tajine, grilled red meat, spicy or spiced cuisine, but also quite simply on a charcuterie and cheese platter or to accompany a chocolate dessert! Argentina's emblematic grape variety, Catherine Delaunay recommends pairing it with an Angus or Argentinian steak, accompanied by its pepper sauce.
