The story of the Métamor'Fées begins the day I acquired the house in Chapaize.
Adorned with many nooks and crannies, secret places, it had remained with its original soul. The furniture was there, all filled with old-fashioned dishes and beautiful old linens.
My many finds, picked up here and there and accumulated over the years, would all find their place there. The shelves filled up, just for the pleasure of looking at them.
Then one day I decided to give these objects a new life. Everyone has a story that I didn't know.
I was going to invent it for them.
What better than a perfume to remember, intimately, like a madeleine dipped in tea, like Marcel Proust.
A Snack in Paris in a magnificent Bernardaud cup, the scents of the gardens of Pondicherry teeming with white tuberoses and magnified in a crystal container, a sublime English porcelain cup with a sweet scent of Old Roses... So many scents and atmospheres, discovered over the course of my cultural and bookish travels.
Literary Candles will then be born, combining a fragrance with a book or a reading atmosphere.
Botanical Candles will be inspired by the boards of yesteryear.
Then will come Les Carnets de Voyage, candles with subtle scents reminiscent of journeys taken.
The latest collection, Message Candles, brings a punchy and fun touch to our product range.
