Behind these posters is me, Hippolyte.
In 2020, lockdown. Stuck for several weeks in a house on the Île de Ré, the idea germinated: to map the island by writing the name of each village, thus filling in the territory of its communes down to its contours. The coastal outline of an island easily gives it its visual identity.

I tell myself that our regions, our lands, our cities, our neighborhoods, and all the corners of the world can be identified by their names and contours.

It's decided!
Passionate about typography and cartography, I created Les Petits Plans and tackled the immense task of redesigning the entire world.
