Birdie Mkoeur - Limited Edition: This gin is composed of different botanicals including juniper berry, lapsang souchong tea (smoked black tea), grapefruit zest, white pepper from Penja (Cameroon), fennel seed and coriander in seeds. All these botanicals are macerated in a neutral French wheat alcohol then distilled with them to extract maximum flavors. Maceration for 24 hours is carried out in a neutral wheat alcohol from the Hauts de France then distilled in order to extract the maximum flavor. Each bottle is bottled and numbered by hand. On the palate, the gin presents complex and well-balanced flavors. The smoke of Lapsang Souchong is present but subtle, offering nuances of burnt wood and leather. The grapefruit zest brings a lemony freshness that blends harmoniously with the smoky aromas. The finish is medium long, leaving a subtle spicy heat from the white pepper and a slight lingering aroma of fennel.
