Inaugurated in 1976, the Montreuil Conservatory, at the time the National School of Music and Dance, was designed in 1968, a symbolic year by the architect Claude Le Goas, to whom we also owe the Mozinor industrial building in Montreuil. Indeed, its architecture, which resembles a beehive with its honeycomb cells, is an application of the theses of the Modern Movement: it is its function which generates its form.
