An aromatic richness and a structure with flexible tannins specific to low altitude teas known as low grown teas (less than 600m above sea level) with nuances of candied and stewed fruits, characterize this Ceylon OP tea, composed of whole and elongated leaves. It is produced by the Lumbini tea estate near Sinharaja. This nature reserve, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the rare primary humid tropical forests on the planet. This proximity to the forest creates a preserved, misty and cool ecosystem for the plantation, conducive to tea growing.
