Our origins go back to 1994, when founder Christoph became fascinated with hammocks. Numerous trips to South America, especially to Mexico, instilled a passion for these relaxing oases of peace. The first imports of hammocks followed and today MacaMex offers, in addition to the Mexican net hammock, also cloth hammocks and hanging chairs from Brazil, India or El Salvador, for example. Specially developed hammock frames for XXL hammocks from European production round off the range. The focus is on the responsible, sustainable production of hammocks and hanging chairs. In 2014 we received FSC™ certification for ecologically and socially responsible forestry.
