Our award-winning serum is a harmonious blend of antioxidants that beautifully soaks into the skin, leaving it soft and radiant! Using sodium ascorbyl phosphate, an advanced and stable form of vitamin C, this serum works wonders on ageing, sun-damaged and acne-prone skin. SAME WELL-LOVED FORMULA - FRESH NEW LOOK! Use: Daily in the morning Directions: Massage 2-4 drops into skin after cleansing. Follow with moisturiser and SPF. Can be layered over Hydrating Nutrient Mist. What is the percentage of vitamin C? Our Vitamin C Serum uses sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP), a form of vitamin C that is much more stable and less prone to oxidation than some traditionally used forms of vitamin C. This serum is great for both sensitive and acne-prone skin! The recommended percentage for efficacy without irritation differs for different forms of vitamin C, and therefore they cannot simply be compared based on percentages. Our serum would be comparable to a 15-20% L-ascorbic acid serum. We use a combination of vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid because this trio of ingredients has been shown to have antioxidant properties. Is this supposed to be clear? A light yellow, cloudy serum is not unusual for our Vitamin C serum because of the plant extracts (such as chamomile, sage and konjac) used in the formulas. Should I use sunscreen if I apply Vitamin C Serum in the morning? Our Vitamin C Serum is rich in antioxidants making it a good choice for daytime use, but it does not replace sunscreen. We recommend using sunscreen daily to protect your skin from damage. What is the consistency like? The Vitamin C serum is a thin, gel-like serum that is quickly and easily absorbed by the skin. Is it good for acne-prone skin? Our Vitamin C Serum is great for easily congested and oily skin types. It is a concentrated blend of vitamin C, ferulic acid and vitamin E with nutrient-rich konjac root. Should I apply this in the morning, evening or both? We recommend using our Vitamin C Serum in the morning and exfoliants such as our Super A Serum or AHA Exfoliating Peel at night. If you don't use another serum at night, you can apply the Vitamin C Serum twice a day. How much should I use? We recommend using a dime-sized amount of Vitamin C Serum, which is usually enough to cover face and neck. Does this have a fragrance? We don't use synthetic fragrances in our line, but this serum does contain konjac root, chamomile and sage extracts that give off a light scent. It does not have a strong scent and disappears quickly. Highlights - Vitamin C - (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) - One of the most essential ingredients in any effective skincare regimen, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and can help reduce wrinkles and discolouration. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a more stable form of vitamin C than the widely used L-Ascorbic acid found in most skincare products, offers the same benefits, without the risk of oxidation and irritation often associated with L-Ascorbic acid. - Vitamin E - Protective antioxidant shown to reduce wrinkles and discolouration. - Ferulic acid - A natural antioxidant found in the cell walls of plants. When combined with vitamins C and E, ferulic acid has been found to have antioxidant properties in studies. - Hyaluronic acid - A naturally occurring substance in the body, hyaluronic acid begins to diminish as we age. Applied topically, it can help make skin look plumper. Konjac root - Exotic flower from Asia, helps soften and smooth the skin while forming a thin protective barrier. Rich in nutrients such as copper, zinc, phosphorus, fatty acids, protein, carbohydrates, lipids, potassium, magnesium, iron, niacin, folic acid & vitamins A, E, C, D & B! - Chamomile extract - Provides a thin protective shield while naturally soothing and softening the skin. - Common Sage - Helps with overly dry or oily skin.
