Saka Spirits is the result of the vision of two brothers, Julien and Anthony, who wish to join forces to create a sustainable business that reflects their fraternal bond. Julien, a former experienced chef, settled on Reunion Island more than 10 years ago where he was in charge of the kitchen at the "Ti Panier" restaurant in Saint-Gilles. He discovered the culinary wealth of the island.
He enjoys making rums made with high-quality local exotic fruits. He sends some to his brother in mainland France, Anthony, who cannot resist the temptation of tasting them with his loved ones. Julien sends an extraordinary beverage, the maceration of Mafane brede flowers in an amber rum which naturally sparkles the mouth after a few seconds... MAFANA is born!
