  • Since 1987
Created in 1987, Maison Cap
Blanc is a family farm
located on the Causse de
Cahors, and which has 16
hectares of isolated vines in the
middle of the woods. All the wines
produced come from the
vineyard, cultivated and labeled
in organic,
biodynamic (Demeter and
Biodyvin), and in
agroforestry. The Maison
Cap Blanc is composed
of a single plot
divided into several
small islands of biodiversity,
separated by hedges,
each with a unity of
terroir, space and time.
Around thirty different grape varieties are grown on the estate: of course Malbec, king of the Cahors appellation, but also indigenous varieties (Jurançon and Gibert, for example) obtained by mass selection (particularly at Lilian Berillon), and resistant hybrid grape varieties such as Floréal, a white grape variety planted on one hectare entirely designed for agroforestry.
The winemaking in the cellar has been done naturally and without sulfites for ten years.
Maison Cap Blanc has thus obtained the Vin Méthode Nature label. Finally, the amphorae,
oak casks and concrete vats are used for the gentle and slow maturing of the
wines.

“In biodynamics, the farm is
seen as a living organism composed of organs
essential to the survival of the whole, explains Emmanuel
Rybinski. The tree is today
for us an essential organ
for the exploitation,
for the good health of our
vines and the quality of our
wines.”Maison Cap Blanc also has 30 hectares of protective woods that surround the vines.
Finally, the estate takes care of all the surroundings of the plots. A body of water has been dug for wild flora and fauna. Plants
necessary for biodynamics
have been planted around the
surroundings.
