Maison Parel - The Wild Vine - Vintage 2020

La Vigne Sauvage is the promise of a journey to the heart of the Rhône Valley. This wine comes from a terroir where vines strew the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The Mistral forcefully sweeps away vegetation illuminated by a comforting sun in all seasons. The soils are limestone and sandy on the surface, clayey in depth and beautiful rolled pebbles walk at the foot of the vines. This harmony results in a balanced wine that skilfully combines power and aromatic complexity. Taste La Vigne Sauvage and dive happily into the world of the Rhodanian vineyard. Blend: 73% Grenache, 19% Syrah, Carignan 6%, Cinsault 1%, Mourvèdre 1%. Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel vats. Aged for 8 to 10 months in concrete vats. Terroir: Typical Southern Rhône, clay-limestone soil. Tasting: Beautiful ruby color. Elegant nose of red fruit and pepper. On the palate, a well-balanced wine with silky tannins. Food / wine pairings: Ideal with grilled poultry, a gourmet salad or a plate of charcuterie.
