In 2021, after two years of the pandemic, it became increasingly clear that we didn't feel right about our jobs.
On the search for new inspiration and other creative development opportunities, Chichi discovered the body candles and immediately fell in love with the unusual designs. So Makagi was born to make these amazing candles himself.
"MAKA GỊ" is a saying from the Igbo people from Nigeria and means for you.
The designs focus on femininity and show the diversity and uniqueness of each person. Here, female empowerment is combined with modern art.
After a few tries, we mastered our production process and handcrafted hundreds of candles. In this way we were able to bring joy to many wonderful people.
