Montessori unitary cylindrical recess

Indicative age: 6-18 months EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE: To develop the fine motor skills of young children and holding the pliers with the 3 fingers. - Oculomotor coordination (eye/hand), - Development of concentration, - Training in grasping with pliers (prehension useful for holding a pencil), - Experimentation of the crossing of an object by a central axis, - Wrist work, - Motricity, - Self-confidence. Cylindrical sockets are an iconic Montessori material. To begin, the baby can start with the single cylinder, to take the button with the 3 fingers and embed the cylinder in its location. The child works on his fine motor skills, the mobility of his hand and holding with the pliers, preparing for the good holding of a writing tool (pencil, pen, and even the fork...).
