MARA MADE IN GREECE

Born and raised in Athens, Mara Milonopoulou expressed her artistic side from an early age. Her continuous experimentation with colors, shapes, and fabrics and her fascination with fashion led to a creative path with many notable stops along the way. Like Costume Designer at the National Greek Theatre, Fashion Stylist for numerous fashion publications, and the only Greek Fashion Advertising Manager at the French fashion magazine L'Officiel.
Her next professional move would be the most personal. In 2013, Mara made in Greece was created. Designed in a land with a rich history of artisanship Mara's pieces have the allure of Greek heritage imbued with the aethereal force of the Greek light. Collections bear names like "Mythos" and "Geometria" inspired not by the obvious images that come to mind when we talk about Greece but by the essence of genuine Greek history and culture. A significant heritage that only an artist can express through his work. Mara's jewelry reflects the revival of Ancient Greece with the modern neo-Hellenic elegance. Contradictory materials, traditional and modern techniques serve to create her jewelry. In her own words: "Jewelry is more than an accessory.
