Domaine Mas Conscience is located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac Appellation, between the villages of Montpeyroux and Saint-Jean-de-Fos.
Organic viticulture is a long tradition at Mas Conscience. The estate's vineyards have been certified since 2012.
In 2020, the Domaine was taken over by Roman Kocholl and Audrey Bonnet-Koenig respectively as director and winemaker.
With the help of oenologist Claude Gros and after a period of optimization in the vineyards and restructuring in the cellar, Mas Conscience is pleased to present the first results with the 2020 vintage.
"Between the Devil's Bridge and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, legend has it that the monks went from village to village for alms. They asked the inhabitants to give according to their good conscience! The wine and olive oil olives were the most common offerings at the time. The monks transported them on the back of a mule, in jars made by the potters of Saint-Jean-de-Fos. Over time, these jars took the name of “conscience“!
Echoing this legend, the mule and the conscience have become the symbols of our domain."
