We are Matabooks, a young publishing house from Dresden that produces sustainable books from grass paper. Our publishing program includes books for children and young people, novels and notebooks. All products are made of grass paper, vegan and biodegradable. The paper ensures a sensual experience: The pleasant coloring, the special feeling of nature under the hands and the smell of hay result in an unexpected, positive book experience.

Since our founding in early 2018, we have received several awards, such as the Nonbook Award 2018, the Saxon Environment Prize 2019 and the ICMA Award 2020 for innovative book ideas.
