Japanese matcha bowl Chawan Suna handmade from ceramic

Our traditional matcha bowl Suna impresses with its beautiful blue and brown Shino glaze.

The natural color gradient is reminiscent of the untouched, sandy coastal landscapes of Japan and gives it a unique aesthetic.

The combination with fresh, green matcha creates a connection to nature.

Perfect for every matcha lover who wants to treat themselves to a little break from everyday life. This bowl (Chawan) is perfect for preparing matcha.

Thanks to its wide, flat base, the matcha powder can be whipped with a bamboo whisk without leaving any residue.

This is the only way the full aroma of the fine tea can develop and thus enable your unforgettable Matcha moment. Our matcha bowls are lovingly handcrafted by a renowned manufacturer in the Tono region of Japan.

This region is located in the southeast of Gifu Prefecture in central Japan and is considered the center of the world-famous Mino ceramics.

It developed there as early as the 13th century.

In the 19th century, an important craftsmanship revolved around the processing of the chawan to prepare matcha and this craftsmanship tradition is continued in perfection to this day. Only natural clay is used to make our matcha bowls.

The bowls are food-safe, free of harmful substances and dishwasher safe. Due to hand manufacturing, there may be deviations in size.

The weight, color and pattern of the bowl come.

These minimal differences do not represent a quality defect, but rather make each bowl unique. Dimensions: Ø approx.

122 mm, height approx. 75mm
