In the southwest of Mexico, in the heart of the province of Chiapas, is the El Triunfo Verde cooperative, a true jewel of organic farming and fair trade. 

Made up of 500 small producers spread across several communities, this cooperative has been committed since its creation in 2000 to offering exceptional coffee while preserving social and environmental values.

 Located around the village of Albino Corzo, within the majestic El Triunfo nature reserve, the coffee plantations benefit from a volcanic terroir and a cool climate, conducive to slow and uniform development of the fruits. 

Cultivated using agroforestry practices, this coffee gradually reveals a rich palette of complex aromas, with cocoa, spicy, cinnamon and vanilla notes, to the delight of the most demanding coffee lovers.

 In addition to the exceptional quality of their coffee, the El Triunfo cooperative is actively engaged in the social and economic well-being of its members. 

Solidarity programs aim to promote food self-sufficiency, improve housing conditions and provide access to basic services such as water and electricity. 

In addition, internal microcredits are set up to avoid getting into debt with local loan sharks, while the “cafe justo, vida sana” program aims to improve the health of producers.

 On the environmental front, the cooperative implements reforestation initiatives with a shade tree nursery, thus contributing to the preservation of local ecosystems. 

In addition, the rigorous selection of coffee varieties and the production of organic fertilizer from compost of plant waste makes it possible to improve the quality of coffee while preserving biodiversity.
