Melrosia

I can't quite believe this is real because only 2.5 years ago, I was getting anxiety attacks as I was being bullied in my corporate job. I just couldn’t bear to stand up for myself so I quit my job. I was left with no confidence but only pity for myself as I was made to believe, me and my work weren’t good enough.

I started the brand on the side as a mental escape to get away from the negativity. I’ve always loved jewellery- designing and wearing beautiful pieces is where I found my confidence time and again.
Growing up, I was constantly harassed for being overweight. I hated my body and clothes particularly didn’t make me feel good and caused anxiety. This had a detrimental effect on my confidence and mindset.

I can safely say, a box of jewellery that I inherited from my mum changed my life! It fit me- It made me feel good & beautiful- it empowered me which was a rare feeling. After remembering all these instances, I decided to just focus on Melrosia while I found another real job.

Soon I realised, this is my purpose and I decided to make it my full time gig despite of not having a stead income. It wasn’t easy and I had to overcome a lot of fears but my passion made me do it. Through my business, I’ve regained courage, strength, confidence and most of all, I found my purpose.

Melrosia- Mel meaning brave strength & Rosia symbolising femininity. It truly represents us women- our inner strength & beauty. I want all women to feel how I feel when I wear these jewels- empowered, confident & beautiful!
