The Palo Santo is a natural aromatic tree native to South America. Its name translates into English as "Holy Wood", "Saint Wood" or "Sacred Tree". It has been used for millennia by shamans and indigenous peoples for healing and/or in sacred ceremonies. When burned, it is generally used to purify the psychophysical space and direct prayers to the spirit world. It can also be used to improve internal equanimity by having a calming and relaxing effect on the mind, body and soul.
