Our Navy Strength Dry Gin is 57.2% barrel strength and is still incredibly mild on the tongue. The high alcohol ensures a particularly complex aroma, which is ideal for long drinks and the classic GinTonic. The taste is determined by the powerful aromas of hand-picked juniper berries, spicy black tea leaves and our popular blood orange zest - made for purists and gin lovers. In the 18th century, Navy Strength was a quality indicator for unmasking stretched gin in the Royal Navy. For this purpose, the gin was poured over the gunpowder and checked whether it could be ignited afterwards. In this way, the desired quality could be proven. Gin with an alcohol content of 57.2% or more has been called Navy Strength ever since.
