Barolo DOCG 2019, CASCINA MARIA, tannic and spicy red wine for aging

The Roero hills in Piedmont have always been suited to producing great wines. 
This aging red wine, tannic and spicy, is produced in Vezza d'Alba, by the Demarie family who run their 10Ha estate with expertise and passion.
 Vinification and aging: This wine from the prestigious Barolo Riserva DOCG appellation is produced by traditional vinification in steel tanks with long fermentation and skin maceration to maximize the extraction of tannins and aromas. 
It is aged for a minimum of 18 months in large Slavonian barrels, in order to enrich it with great complexity, and to make the tannins velvety.
 Tasting notes: – Appearance: Garnet red in which tiled reflections appear with aging. –Nose: Pronounced aromas of black plum, red cherry and wild rose, supported by notes of spices, cinnamon and black pepper. 
This is complemented by notes of tobacco and cocoa. –Palate: Warm with deep verticality, and marked tannins which need time to express themselves at best (wine for keeping).
 Aging potential: 10 to 15 years Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C Recommended consumption: Open and air at least 1 hour before tasting.
