MADROÑO HONEY HAS OBTAINED THE GOLD PRIZE IN THE QUALITY CATEGORY, AT THE LONDON HONEY AWARDS 2021 This honey surprises everyone who tries it for its bitter taste. Madroño honey is harvested between the end of October and the beginning of November. This honey has an amber color, a floral aroma with a component of humus, fallen leaves and mushrooms and a bitter taste with salty notes, as well as a secondary sweetness. Its production area is located in the southwestern area of Asturias: Allande, Cangas del Narcea, Ibias and Tineo.
