Kimono Craft

Handwoven 100% merino wool kimono The Playing Madras collection was born from the association of traditional weavings from the South and know-how from North India. Born in 1500 in Madras, Madras tiles are worn in sarongs by men in the villages of the state of Tamil Nadu. Our Kimono are woven by hand in the wool of Himalayan sheep raised on site. This collection is the result of a meticulous development of the weaving of sheep's wool yarns to bring you the ideal softness, weight and warmth in summer and winter. The choice of a local wool from the Himalayas, in order to support local artisans, naturally imposed itself on us. Each Kimono is woven by hand on traditional wooden looms in our artisan workshops in Northern India. Our designs play with scales of checks, stripes and lines. They shake up slate, mekong and craft colours.
