Mind The Trash

Mind The Trash is Portugal´s first zero waste online store. It started in 2017 with the passion of a Portuguese and a Dane who met in London and wanted to share the products they were already using and could not find in the Portuguese market. The store is dedicated not only to the selling of products but also to raising awareness and disseminating information on sustainability issues. Its best-seller are the solid shampoos, produced as the founders could not find in the market, shampoos that would work as a "conventional" cream shampoo. Mind The Trash has a collecting system implemented to receive boxes and paper to reuse, resulting in less consumption of new materials. In 2020, Mind The Trash won the Gold Medal Award issued by the Portugal e-Commerce Awards in the category of Best Packaging Products and in the Best Article Packaging category. In 2021, Mind The Trash received the TOP 5% Best SME certification (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Portugal, in terms of performance and financial strength. This certification reinforces the sustainability not only just in products, but also financially.
