Objective of this activity set is to practice color sorting, understanding the arrow symbol, and exercise voluntary focus and attention span. It can also be used for preposition training as a part of speech therapy, reading aid, and early intervention curriculum. Spatial orientation and ability to understand visual directions is one of the key preschool skills. This activity allows us to work on concepts of up, down, left, and right. All elements in this sorter are changeable, allowing to present the child with several hundreds of combinations. To use: 1. Line up the moveable arrow symbols on top of the board. Pick one color and instruct the child to pick all the arrows of this color and place them in boxes so that they match the orientation of the arrows on top. 2. Increase the complexity by offering two colors at a time, then keep adding more.
