Natural capiz charger Diameter: 33cm Inner diameter: 18 cm The shell used is a nacreous shell (Placuna Placenta) commonly called ''capiz''. It is picked up in South East Asia and worked by hand. To be shaped, it is baked, bleached, pressed on moulds, dried, polished, colored and finally coated with protective layers. This underplate cannot be washed in the dishwasher, but should be washed in mild detergent with a damp cloth.
