René Magritte - The Man with the Bowler Hat
See the wholesale price
Magritte painted The Son of Man as a self-portrait. It shows a man in a coat and bowler hat in front of a low wall, behind which the sea and a cloudy sky can be seen. The man's face is largely obscured by a floating green apple. Another subtle feature is that the man's left arm appears to be bent backwards at the elbow. ©c.H./ADAGP, Paris 2020
