ARCHIPELAGO EARRINGS TRIO

ARCHIPEL COLLECTION • Set of 3 earrings in brass gilded with 1 micron fine gold. The set consists of 3 small asymmetrical ear studs that fit together perfectly and represent 3 fragments / 3 pieces of the Isle of Ré (Charente-Maritime). HAS wear as you wish, one, two or three at a time. Finely engraved with streaks, hollows and hatching which punctuate the golden surface and catch the light with faceted effects. The engravings represent the oyster basins and meanders / the hatching represents the beaches seen from above. •Dimensions: - Puce S: l: 0.6 x H: 1 cm (Ars-en-Ré) - Puce M: l: 0.7 x H: 0.9 cm (Les Portes) - Puce L: l: 1.2 x H: 1.5 cm (St Clément des Baleines) • A word about the Archipel collection: what if, one day, the Ile de Ré became an archipelago again? I designed this collection by reconstructing the island from my aerial photos, representing the oyster basins and meanders with engravings and the beaches with hatching that seems to nibble away at the earth. I divided the island into 6 fragments, 6 pieces of island (grouping 1, 2 or 3 villages).
