Algae lime powder - natural source of calcium from the Atlantic coasts Our napani algae lime is obtained from mineralized, sedimented deposits of red algae (Lithothamnium calcareum). As a plant that grows slowly in its natural environment on the sea floor, it contains a large number of vitamins and minerals that are essential for the body (such as calcium, magnesium and iron), as well as organically bound trace elements (such as selenium and copper) and health-promoting, bioactive secondary plant substances. The intense red color of the algae in the water turns white when it dries. Ground into a fine powder, the red algae serve as a high-quality source of calcium for dogs and cats and therefore also provide dogs that cannot tolerate bones (digestion problems) or are not fed bones with natural calcium. Algae lime, or the high calcium content, also compensates for the excess phosphorus caused by too much meat in the bowl (meat can, pure meat feeding, raw feeding / BARF).
