Together with our vet, we have developed this finely tuned, balanced salmon menu for your dog, which is made with the utmost care from the best ingredients. In addition, the menu consists of (only) one third of the best wild salmon. Because an animal protein-reduced diet is naturally good for your darling, for the (environmental) world and all living beings on our planet. We deliberately chose wild salmon. In the case of so-called aquaculture (factory farming under water), not only the chemicals used (e.g. pesticides and antibiotics) are a problem, but also the enormous feed requirements of the predatory fish: Two to five kilograms of fish have to be fed to produce one kilogram of salmon. Less animal protein in the dog bowl has many advantages. Nowadays, an oversupply of animal protein is much greater than the risk of a protein deficiency. The organism of the domestic dog is not adjusted to an excess of protein, as would be the case, for example, if it were fed exclusively muscle meat from beef. A prolonged excess of protein puts a strain on the metabolism of the four-legged friend and in particular on the kidneys. This is often recognized by symptoms such as itching, reddened areas of skin (paws) and loss of fur (but these symptoms can also have other causes). A dog needs a balanced supply of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fiber, plus various minerals and vitamins. We remain true to our philosophy; we want our products to be as natural as possible, which is why we don't put any oils, vitamins or minerals (so-called premixes > of synthetic origin) in the can.
