Together with our vet, we have put together this unique mixture of selected active ingredients. The goldenrod contained in the tincture, for example, supplies the urinary system with flavonoids and phenolic glycosides and thus promotes increased urine excretion. As a result, the efferent urinary tract (i.e. ureter, bladder and urethra) is better flushed out. The kidneys are important excretory organs. Put simply, the kidneys filter substances from the blood that are superfluous or do not belong there. These are then excreted in the urine. The kidneys help to keep the pH value in the body constant within its narrow limits and to control the salt-water balance. However, they also form hormones that are involved in blood formation or the regulation of blood pressure. The urine produced in the kidneys travels through the ureter into the bladder, where it collects. The urethra leads out of the bladder. Germs can get into the bladder more easily via the urethra and cause cystitis there. Feeding with healthy, high-quality food, the conscious use of medication (many attack the kidney tissue) and not using chemical flea and tick protection can prevent chronic kidney disease. Our urinary tract tincture consists of 4 herbal active ingredients: - Goldenrod (Solidago) > this medicinal plant has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties. Since it can increase the amount of urine at the same time, goldenrod is traditionally used in the supportive treatment of complaints of the urinary tract, as well as for mild inflammation or for rinsing out kidney gravel. - Cranberry > is considered an important home remedy for cystitis. Mainly because it was also effective in laboratory tests on antibiotic-resistant strains. The cranberry berry creates an acidic environment on the mucosal surface of the bladder, making it difficult for pathogens to adhere to it. This also makes it easier for the bacteria to be excreted in the urine. - Nettle > this "miracle" herb has many properties. Among other things, it has a strong diuretic effect. It is often used to flush out inflamed urinary tracts and to prevent and treat kidney gravel. - Dandelion Root > the best part of the "jack of all trades" plant for any urinary tract condition in both dogs and cats.
